MLB as a protocol, when a player joins a team must provide his medical history, including operations, injections and other treatments that he had.

Dominican Colón Reborn with New York Yankees

Bartolo
Colon looked less than six years on Wednesday.

Or at least his right arm.

Depending on their lines of two and four-seam, pulling up to 96 miles per hour with great command, the dominican stopped the White Sox by allowing just one run in eight innings.

The result was a 3-1 victory for the Yankees.

This performance was not so different to what Columbus did in 2005, when he was 21-8 for the Angels and won the Cy Young of the American League.

In fact, when Columbus was asked how he felt now compared with six years ago, replied: "I feel better now, because I can throw more strikes. " Wow.

It is rare that a pitcher has this type of rally. Generally do not lose brightness so drastically, then recover so many years later.

Of course, 2005 was the last time Columbus launched what looked like a full season.

A history of injuries, combined with the fact that approaches 38 years, made him an unlikely candidate for the rotation of the Yankees, or for any other team.

Also, his size is not typical of someone in top physical condition, another factor that seemed to be against it.

Officially, Colon heights 5-11 with 265 pounds.
